How could it happened that twelve of us got together for the challet in Orava with everything that belongs to it?
I only know that it came from Miška a Durco and I only communicated it to Kubo, who only could bring it about!
And so whithin that superb ellongated weekend we found ourselves at the mouth of Janosik´s Holes gale, which we were about to climb the Big Rozsutec
( ha ha ha, pretty brave in that assemblance). After intoxicating ourselves ala Orava, we set off along a wet track which could be easily passed even
by a child. Very quickly the path had turned into an icy surface. As the track changed, Kubo with three-year-old Sophia followed by Petyak with his student,
Hanka, left us.
We remained eight of us at that time.
First 1 hour 45 min we did in three and a half hour. It didn`t appear like that, we`d hurried like gluttons. Somewhere at that time things like
"we wanna reach Rozsutec summit?" crossed my mind. Everyone was chewing the cud. In a few whiles several ideas were out. Many sounded like "some
days it`s better stay in bed". Though, we tried hard to latch onto the ground by teeth, nails and crampons. Actually we did only by crampons ... by
Krto´s ones. As the chasm steepened our pace became monotonously varied: Krto up! Take hold! Hey back! Carry me over! Come back for me too! and up
again... and down again! After 3 and a half hour scrabbling up an ice surface, a sloping one and later even more sloping, up the lathers and waterfalls
we said good bye to that aim above.
From there below we were led by our legs, nice snaps and outlooks for the evening´s fun at the chalet.
