Kriváň 15 july 2005

Me, Miro The Writing, Krtko The Little Giant, Iva The Elf, Dudo The Giantlet and Joseph The Knee: that´s the staff in which we initiated conquering the obstacles of picturesque Slovak nature again. This time, we planed a little earlier as usual and at the time everything was prepared July 15 2005 was written on chronicles´ pages. The primary layout, modified later due to objective reasons, was the mount up to the Peak of Kriváň and the other day´s plan was to climb up the peak with a disputable ascent on it, The Peak of Slavkov.

We set off at about 07.00 am from the town of Zvolen (how extraordinary!) and immediately after the arrival to Tatras´ region we nosed for the starting point, namely The Three Wells.

The getting off to the wrong path couldn´t surprise us any more, we do have quantum of experience of this kind, nevertheless many thanks to our northern neighbours for their disintertested assistance. After a 20 mins consolidation = return and respite, we rushed to the further the less desired 2495m altitude.

After a certain time we were split spontaneously into two squads: me and Iva ahead-ahead-ahead of our remnant, one would certainly observe I WONDER!, because if you´ve perceived Iva is a female name and Krtko, Dudo, Joseph at a slacker, but the more safe, pace. We caught the top at about 01.07 pm overloaded by perhaps two tens of international attendance. After one hour-twenty of terrible chill we were appeased by Dudo´s arrival

and the other two members of our horde afterwards and because of the problems between woman and heavens we rushed at flash speed, verbatim straight downwards. Another two hours at the car, a sort of miscarried try of fun and we could and went to the camp for some beers and a blow-out,

but in the first run to spend an entrancing night there and take up power for the following day. We could get up a bit earlier, so we could ever before that´s true, and after a kind of frugal breakfast, to my and Krtko´s taste at least, we began the trampling towards The peak of Slavkov. However, that late autumn or it´d been early winter of 2005 happened what we already knew, namely the very whirlwind which thwarted our plans this time. So,

The Slavkov switched to only a leg of Tatras edge-track with cessation near a Rocky tarn underneath, allegedly the second tallest peak within The Carpathian arch, The Peak of Lomnica. It´s necessary to admit we had pretty nice time there with protracted refreshment and it seemed at times that some of us were even willing to spend 500,- of our pocket money only to get drenched through in clouds at "observing the stars".

In the end, Krtko and Joseph were only willing to spend 200,- of their bucks in order to get down by the cable car. Me, Iva and Dudo ground our soles down along the skiing slope from The Saddle of Lomnica. There we hitched our own car and the fairy-tale was at its end, actually it was after the stay at fabulous establishment U Krištofa. Résumé: we had fine time there, really, and we´ve got our experience pockets filled a bit more again and we are healthier as well, at least we were.

PS: You see it, Iro, what you´ve lost this time. Hope you enjoyed Pohoda festival adequately. As to you we´ll see, I guess...
